Pupil school review

My review of Stepaside CP School.

When you go outside, you will see a big field and playground, MUGA, lots of trees, and a concrete MUGA. (And lots of flowers in the summer.)

The moment you step into the school it feels like you’re at home. You look down and see the sparkling shiny tiles. Everywhere you look you see lots of paintings and many amazing models. There are lots and lots of hangers everywhere and nice roof tiles.

Stepaside School has many after-school clubs. In my opinion, all of the after-school clubs are really good. There is chess club what starts on Thursday, dodge ball what starts on Wednesday, Craft club on Tuesday, after school club, Pokémon club every Friday, and breakfast club.

We usually have fun lessons. We do Lexia or comprehension at the start of the day, at 10:40 it is break time. You can go to many places. There is a huge field with lots of trees. At 12:10 it is lunch and without doubt, The lunch hall is very nice. The lunch tables are clean and nice to sit on.

Stepaside CP school has good food. On Monday it’s a mixture. Tuesday the food is Breaded Chicken with Katsu Curry sauce dip or Potato.  On Wednesday the food is pork sausage. The food on Thursday is pasta Bolognese and on Friday the food is pizza.

I would recommend Stepaside being a 10 out of 10.

Inspiring Young Minds during Science Week

Chair of Governors, Laura Burnett, came to school today, but not to look at policies and talk about progress! She came to inspire young minds as she spoke about the role of an engineer. Laura is passionate about STEM subjects and the vital role these play in careers in our modern world. Laura is Lead Process Engineer at Valero.

Diolch Laura for your support , enthusiasm and very informative presentation

Children in Need day

School was a busy place on November 17th for Children in Need day. Each enterprising class made their own merchandise and advertised it to the other classes, taking orders and gathering supplies. A fantastic £382 was raised on the day. making the most of the beautiful sunshine Dosbarth Barafundle spent some time outside planting our new pots which we purchased with some of the Tesco grant we won over the summer holidays.

Halloween Disco

Thank you all for your support with the Halloween disco and pumpkin carving competition. The school council planned this event and they raised £240. Well done everyone. We had some fabulous costumes at the disco and the judging of the pumpkins was a very difficult task. We have some very talented pupils!

Friday is the Bonfire night and Halloween assembly by the local police. Please help to keep everyone safe at this time of year.
