Attendance

At Stepaside CP School we aim for all of the pupils to achieve the highest attendance possible. We ask that you make sure your child is in school on time everyday in order for them to make sure they achieve their potential and make the most of the education we provide. We understand that occasionally children are unwell and we ask that on those rare days you call or message to let us know where your child is. This allows us to fulfil our legal obligation to complete an accurate register and gives you, and us, peace of mind that your child is safe at all times.

In our efforts to achieve the best possible education for our pupils and to ensure their interest in and engagement with school we provide and include the following :-

An exciting and contemporary curriculum, based around the Global Goals, which provides a wide range of experiences, deepens knowledge and develops skills across the Progression Steps.

Calendar of events includes Charity Days, Faith Days, special assemblies, concerts and celebrations.

Educational trips planned throughout the year to engage learners, broaden knowledge and understanding of the locality and develop well-being.

Seren yr Wythnos – celebrate achievements in our Friday assembly.

Seesaw – app used to communicate with parents and share pictures of learning experiences.

Rewards for positive behaviour – ClassDojos #hotchocolatemondays or #ice-creammondays with Headteacher for weekly class dojo winners.

Attendance Awards given out in assembly each term.
