Safeguarding

The safety and wellbeing of all children and young people is of paramount importance. Parents and carers send their children to school each day with the expectation that the school provides a safe and secure environment in which their children can flourish. We have to ensure that this expectation becomes reality. In order to achieve this, a wide range of measures and additional policies are put into place:

  • Acceptable Use Policy
  • Anti-Bullying Policy
  • Attendance Policy
  • Behaviour Policy
  • Child Protection Policy
  • Equality Policy
  • First Aid and Medicines Policy
  • Health and Safety Policy
  • Safer Recruiting Policy

The Governing Board keep these policies under regular review. They ensure the Head Teacher provides termly updates on safeguarding as part of thier report to Governors. The Governing Board appoints a named Governor for Child Protection.

Safeguarding lead in the school is Mr Peter Jones .  He can be contacted on 01834 812764 or at head.stepaside@pembrokeshire.gov.uk
