HENRY TUFNELL has praised staff and pupils at Stepaside C.P. School after visiting the school to mark World Book Day.
The MP said it was “fantastic” to see the school’s facilities and the positive atmosphere among pupils and teachers following the school’s recent encouraging report from Estyn.
During the visit, Mr Tufnell met pupils dressed as their favourite book characters and spoke with staff about the work being done to create a supportive learning environment.
He said the school community should be proud of the “warm, welcoming and inspiring place to learn” that has been created for local children.
Mr Tufnell added that the enthusiasm of the pupils and the dedication of staff made it clear why Stepaside continues to be a vibrant place for young people to grow and develop.
